CafeX Communications, a leading provider of business collaboration solutions, today announced an expansion of its partnership with Communication Business Avenue (CBA) to meet growing business demand for integrated omnichannel customer engagement solutions for Japan-based and global markets.
The agreement names CBA as a worldwide value-added reseller (VAR) of CafeX on-premises software, including the award-winning CafeX Live Assist® product, with exclusive distribution rights in Japan. For all cloud-delivered CafeX services in Japan, Rakuten Communications Corp. will continue to serve as the sole distributor, including the Connect live online meeting and video conferencing solution launched in 2018.
CafeX’s strategic partnerships with Rakuten Communications Corp. and CBA ensure that Japan-based enterprises have access to either cloud- or premises-based collaboration solutions that are locally designed, implemented and supported.
CBA will provide integrated and regionally relevant offers to help businesses transform digital customer service. Offers will be white-labeled under the CBA brand, such as CBA Live Assist, which enables a website visitor or mobile app user to click a button to start a voice or video call with a service agent. The agent can see what the visitor sees, cobrowse, share files and assist in other ways remotely.
For all new premises-based software sales in Japan and worldwide under this agreement, CBA will provide any associated installation, consulting, and technical support services. CafeX will continue to support existing software maintenance contracts for on-premises products.
Expanding on its four-year partnership with CafeX, CBA brings a wealth of experience in collaboration technologies spanning more than a decade, with expertise in areas like contact center, multi-vendor PBX systems, WebRTC, SIP and associated professional services.
